Inlay Onlay Aesthetic Fillings
Porcelain inlay-onlay fillings are both aesthetic and durable, making them more durable than composite or amalgam fillings (porcelain crowns). It is preferred because it requires less material loss. In the process, only the decayed area is cleaned and the tooth is measured.
The porcelain inlay fillings prepared in the laboratory are then bonded to the teeth with special adhesives (adhesive systems).
Especially large material loss. First of all, root canal treatment is applied to the teeth that are damaged, and if necessary, simple surgical corrections (gingivoplasty - gingival manicure) are made on the gums and onlay (porcelain or composite filling prepared in the laboratory) is applied. In this way, the risk of breaking the tooth or filling is very low.
Porcelain fillings
They are tissue-friendly fillings and are among the materials with the highest biological compatibility. They are produced with advanced technology. The porcelain filling method does not harm the healthy tooth tissue in the mouth. With a few changes made to the dental cavity opened in a normal filling, the tooth is made ready for porcelain filling. In addition, these porcelains are the materials closest to the hardness of the teeth and most compatible with the gums. Since its hardness is very close to the enamel tissue of the tooth, it does not corrode teeth like other porcelains, nor does it corrode like composite fillings. Especially in case of large material losses, it should be preferred instead of composite filling or crown(covering).
