Does talking get better?

We all encounter various difficulties in life, difficult life events, traumas, attitudes that undermine trust, and elements that pose different risks and threats. If you pay attention, we are trying to somehow cope with all the different and damaging phenomena we are experiencing. Naturally, it is inevitable that we will get damage. We can say that damage is an inevitable reality of life. While our way of coping with some problems may be quite healthy, we may not be able to cope with some problems very well. And the entity we call mind records all of these. Therefore, sometimes we are left with physical reflections and sometimes with direct psychological problems.

At this point, perhaps that question may come to our mind after a psychiatrist or psychologist. So, I find it useful to ask this. “Does it get better without talking? Is it beneficial to talk to our relatives, especially without talking to a specialist? Undoubtedly, it is not necessary to get expert support for every problem we encounter. However, in situations that wear out the person mentally, negatively affect their functionality in life, and create gaps between their previous and current feelings; I think it is necessary to get help from experts who help individuals understand their lives, all their education and practices, and help them ask the right questions.

Scientific studies conducted in today's conditions generally show that satisfactory results can be achieved when people receive the support of an expert with whom they can establish trusting relationships and with whom they know they can share everything without being judged, blamed or humiliated. I cannot help but emphasize the importance of psychotherapy + medication support, especially in some disorders, depending on the severity of the condition. At this point, receiving support from psychiatrists and mental health professionals who carry out psychotherapy practices has positive effects on individuals.
