The copper content in the soil where a food product is formed and in the places where it is processed until it becomes food determines the copper content in the product.
A copper-free diet generally consists of not eating copper-rich foods. These foods are generally offal (liver, spleen, etc.), shellfish (mussels, oysters, crab, lobster, shrimp, etc.), pure wheat, dried seeds, peas and chocolate.
If the amount of copper in drinking water is more than 100 micrograms per liter, demineralized water (must contain 1 microgram/litre of copper) should be used.
Alcohol use is strictly prohibited. Alcohol further increases the damage to the liver. Read the labels on foods thoroughly. Never use copper pots to cook food. Again, its use is prohibited in women because it contains copper.
Food groups:
A) Meat and Protein Foods: Beef, eggs, white chicken and turkey meat are allowed. Organ meats (offal: liver, heart, brain, kidney, spleen, ovary, etc.), pork, black chicken and turkey meat, goose, duck meat, salmon, mussels, oysters, scallops, crab, shrimp, lobster are prohibited.
B) From vegetables: all vegetables are allowed, including tomatoes. Mushroom and vegetable juices are prohibited.
C) Fruits: most fruits [except commercially dried fruits (nuts, raisins, dates, prunes) and avocados] are allowed.
D ) Bread and Cereals: bread and cake made from refined flour, rice, oatmeal are allowed. Baked grains (beans, lentils, soybeans, millet, barley, cereal), fresh sweet potatoes are prohibited.
E) Fats: butter, mayo, cream, oils and salad dressings (see the scope) are allowed.
/> F) Milk and dairy products: All milk and dairy products are allowed except chocolate milk, soy milk and cocoa. (labels of some imported cheeses should be examined)
G) Desserts: Generally allowed except those containing hazelnuts, chocolate and cocoa.
H) Alcohol and soft drinks: coffee, tea, fruit juices, lemonade are allowed. Beer, mineral waters, soy-added drinks, and copper-added drinks are prohibited.
