PERIODONTOLOGY
Contrary to popular belief, caries is not the only cause of tooth loss in adults. However, periodontal diseases are also an important problem in tooth loss. In case of complaints of bleeding gums, gum recession, shifting or loose teeth, support should be sought from a gum specialist.
The disease manifests itself with dental inflammation in the first stage, the most important indicator being bleeding. It is possible to prevent the progression of the disease with simple and effective interventions during this period. In the second stage of periodontitis, hard tissue, that is, bone, is also involved. When bone loss reaches serious levels, it results in the tooth first becoming loose and then falling out.
If periodontal diseases are diagnosed at an early stage, a much more effective and successful treatment can be applied.
