Laser treatment is applied in many areas. “Low level laser”applications benefit from anti-inflammatory and blood-enhancing effects. Promising results were obtained in laser treatment in patients with Hashimoto thyroiditis in two studies conducted in 2014. As a result of the laser treatment applied as 10 sessions, the patients were followed for 1 year and the results listed below were obtained.
We see similar results in our patients.
- The thyroid hormone medication used can be stopped
- The dose of the medication can be reduced
- The progression of the disease can be stopped
- The progression of the disease can be slowed down
In patients with Hashimoto's thyroiditis, the disease progresses with each passing year and patients usually have to use high doses of thyroid hormone. Considering these results, laser treatment is a promising method to control the disease.
