Preliminary Diagnosis of Merkel's Mysterious Illness Made

It has been stated that the mysterious disease, which came to the fore with tremors during official ceremonies attended by German Prime Minister Angela Merkel, may be "orthostatic tremora". Neurologist Prof. Dr. Sultan Tarlacı said that the occurrence of tremors, especially during ceremonies, while waiting and standing upright, and that it disappears by walking, seriously supports this disease.

Supports Orthostatic Tremor disease

Prof. states that the disease may be "orthostatic tremor". Dr. Sultan Tarlacı said, "The fact that the tremor occurs especially while waiting in ceremonies, during ceremonies and upright posture, and disappears while walking, being female, being over 60 years of age, all of these seriously support "Orthostatic Tremor"."

Reminding that German Prime Minister Merkel did not experience any tremors when she sat on the chair during the official ceremony she last attended in Belgium. Dr. Sultan Tarlacı said, “This situation again supports the diagnosis of 'Orthostatic Tremor'. "It is not thought that tremors are caused by diseases such as diabetes or Parkinson's disease, commonly known as diabetes," he said.

It is often seen in women

Prof. Dr. Sultan Tarlacı stated that "Orthostatic Tremor" disease is common in women and usually occurs at the age of 60 and said, "It occurs when standing upright. It disappears with standing, sitting and walking. Thigh and calf muscles vibrate simultaneously at 13-18 Hz and often at 16 Hz. Sometimes it also occurs on the face, arms and hands. "His response to treatment is good," he said.

He had a tremor crisis three times

German Prime Minister Angela Merkel had a tremor crisis during three separate ceremonies she attended. Merkel shook violently at the ceremony where she welcomed Ukrainian President Zelenskiy last month. Merkel, who trembled for the second time during the press conference with President Frank-Walter Steinmeier before the G-20 Summit, was also seen shaking violently while welcoming Finnish Prime Minister Antti Rinne with a military ceremony in Berlin.
