The Greatest Enemy of Hemoridal Diseases: Feeling of Shame

Colloquially referred to as “Hemorrhoids” or “Mayasıl”; Hemorrhoidal disease is when the hemorrhoidal cushions, which exist in every human being, at the end of the intestinal system, swell, sag and become prone to bleeding due to reasons such as pressure and trauma. It can be seen in people with busy work and social lives, middle-aged people, pregnant women and people of almost all ages.

Imagine a disease that 4% of the country's population will be infected with it within a year. So, what would you say if every person had a 75% chance of encountering this disease in their lifetime? This is what we call HEMORRHOIDAL DISEASE (HEMOROUS).

The biggest reason why our patients cannot get treatment for such a common disease is the feeling of SHAME. SHAME is an important and human emotion that has been taught to us since childhood. Contrary to popular belief, it has no relationship with sociocultural level or socioeconomic level.

Approximately 80% of the 200 patients I examine and perform procedures on in an average of a month say, "Sir, I have come this far, but I am too ASHAMED to be examined." Especially female patients use expressions such as 'I am not that embarrassed even during an examination by a gynecologist'.

Imagine a disease that has hundreds of thousands of people who endure living with it because of embarrassment.

EXAMINATION before the patient examination. With SHORTS, patients' feelings of embarrassment can be reduced. Patients state that they can be examined more comfortably with examination shorts and avoid the feeling of embarrassment.

Our patients lose the chance of early non-surgical treatment of all anal diseases, especially Hemorrhoids, because of their feeling of embarrassment.

With these methods, called minimally invasive methods, hemorrhoidal diseases can be treated without surgery. Although these methods do not require anesthesia, they can be applied under sedation (mild drowsiness) in patients who may be negatively affected by the situation. No pain is felt after the procedure and there is no loss of labor.
