Have a Good Holiday with Kids

As the weather begins to warm up, we are faced with the holiday rush and sweet excitement that surrounds us all.
What should we do, especially if we want to take our little baby with us on holiday? What preparations should we make in advance? What should we take with us?
In today's article, I will try to answer these questions that come to our mind.

First of all, you should decide what kind of holiday you want to have. When you have your child with you, you will often need indoor environments to meet his/her needs and not keep him/her in the heat too long. Therefore, if you are going on holiday with your child, it would be beneficial to choose facilities with a comfortable and safe environment. It is also useful to consider emergencies when making your choice. Another important thing to do before going on vacation is to make a list of the items you will need both on the road and at the place where you will spend your holiday. When traveling with children, if you are going to go on a long journey, you should also check the general check. It would be a good idea to talk to your doctor about the medicines you may need.
During long journeys by car, if your child is prone to sleep in the car, choose to travel at the time that coincides with his/her sleep time.
To avoid traffic accidents, babies and children should be placed in the back of the car. They should travel in their own car seats.
Children with ear infections should not fly until the infection is resolved, especially in severe cases. The baby should be breastfed or given a bottle or pacifier due to ear discomfort that may occur as a result of the pressure change during takeoff and landing. Older children can be given something to chew on. Preventing nasal congestion on the plane will reduce the pressure in the ear.
Since air conditioners running in planes or cars can cause dehydration in children, be sure to ensure that the child drinks fluids regularly.
For long-term travels with children under 1 year of age, stop at intervals of approximately 2 hours. The baby should be breastfed. In addition, since the baby stays in the same position for a long time, it is necessary to take a break to relax, take it out of the car and change its position. During the journey; Carry water and baby food with you in case your child gets hungry or thirsty. It would be beneficial to buy foods that you can eat. If you have children who are diapered, you should definitely have spare diapers in your bag.
You should have a few toys in your bag that are suitable for the child's age and that can keep him/her entertained when he/she gets bored.
A sun product with at least 30 SPF, antipyretic and painkillers, diaper rash and diaper rash products. It is useful to have burn creams and allergy medicine.
Taking your child's duvet cover sets and pillowcases with you may not be enough for the routine you want, just in case.
Your child's soap, shampoo, nail clippers, toothbrush and toothpaste,
Chewable rubber for teething babies
Make sure to have a hat, sunglasses and cotton fabric clothes, sandals and slippers,
armbands for swimming and a life jacket. You should have a holiday in a safe environment for your baby so that you can feel comfortable. If your child does not have a suitable bed with railings, you can take your cot with you. Your child's habitual routine should continue during the holiday as well, that is, you should be careful not to deviate too much from mealtimes, bedtimes and playtimes. The biggest problem on holiday is about food. Food selection in open buffet meals should not be left to the child's initiative. Foods that cannot meet the child's nutritional needs, are harmful to the child, and are likely to spoil quickly should not be preferred.
When going to a hot climate or on holiday, children should not exercise too much and get tired in the first days to get used to the heat and climate. It is a good idea to make sure that children are well hydrated before long-term activities. The child should be ensured to consume plenty of fluids. Make your child drink water even if he/she does not feel thirsty.
10.00-16.00 are the most dangerous hours in terms of sunlight. Children should not be exposed to the sun during these hours. Children should not stay in the sun for more than 20 minutes. The sea should be preferred rather than the pool for the child to play and cool off. It should never be left alone in the pool or in the sea.

I wish you all a happy holiday, without getting sick or encountering situations that will demoralize you.
