There are many families in our society who reject their children because they are homosexual. As a result of religious, social and cultural factors, homosexual people have been exposed to serious problems throughout history. The most important of those problems is that families reject their gay children. Families always feel the need to manipulate events that occur outside their standards and norm expectations. Just as the family feels the need to take their child to the doctor whenever they have any physical illness, they do not neglect the doctor's opinion for their gay child and try to "fix" this situation. The fact that they do this shows that the family has a serious lack of knowledge on this subject. Such lack of information often results in serious consequences for both the homosexual individual and his family.
The most obvious misbehavior is families who reject their children because they do not meet their own standards. These families develop their own methods by showing themselves and the society that they do not accept their child because he is gay and that they do not deviate from the "social norms" that please the society. This process begins with the family visiting specialists in the field to get their child treated. Then, if the right specialist is encountered, the family is given the necessary information. If not, the foundation of serious problems is laid with incorrect information. Unfortunately, there are "experts" in society who take advantage of this situation and try to treat this situation... These people generally make promises to families such as "I will cure your child in 12 sessions", and can blame the person by saying that we could not do anything because your child did not want it enough in the 13th session... this The result of such situations actually means 'my child would do it if he wanted to, but he didn't do it because he didn't want to', and the accumulation of such situations is among the factors that pave the way for the child's rejection.
Because the family chooses to reject their child instead of being embarrassed by society. These rejected children often have no alternative but to turn into sex workers in order to eat, get water, and find shelter. They are expelled from school, they are rejected by their friends, they cannot find a job... These people have to take shelter in a group that will accept them in order to survive. In other words, first the family and then the society protect all of a person's rights. He can take away his life just because of his sexual preference.
Just as the family needs education about homosexuality, society also needs to be informed. If we change our false beliefs about homosexuality, maybe one day we can stop excluding people just for their sexual preferences. And how happy we would be if we could protect even one HUMAN BEING.
If specialist support is to be sought, I recommend that it be for the psychological problems of children and adolescents, for them to learn how to cope with social pressure, and for the traumas they have experienced...
