Diet and Sports

One of the two basic elements of a healthy life is healthy eating and the other is regular exercise. While eating adequately and regularly, one should not neglect sports, and while doing regular sports, one should not neglect a balanced diet.

The main exercise I recommend to my clients is light-paced walks. Walking is the easiest, most inexpensive type of exercise that can be done at all ages and in all seasons. I recommend outdoor walks instead of treadmills and gyms. Outdoor walks keep the person mentally dynamic and help burn fat more easily. You can go for a walk at any time of the day. In the current summer months, the ideal times to walk are at sunrise in the morning, in the cool of the afternoon, and at least 1 hour after dinner. Don't forget to take your half-liter water bottle with you when you go for a walk. However, while you are walking, you should try not to slow down, not to linger, not to chat, not to talk on the phone, and you should walk on a track, beach or grove in your most comfortable sports clothes and sneakers. A 45-minute walk 4 days a week is ideal.

One of the biggest reasons for increasing obesity among children and young people in recent years is an increasingly sedentary lifestyle. As a mother of twins, I can say that I have never put my children in a stroller since they started walking. They always played freely outdoors. This is my advice to mothers who have babies. I still recommend 2-3 year old children to walk instead of putting them in a stroller. Especially during the summer period when schools are on holiday, children and young people should not be confined to their homes and should be interested in the sports they love. Exercising is necessary for proper posture and healthy muscular and skeletal structure. Children and young people who do sports have higher school success, a better circle of friends and are free of bad habits.

You should get a pedometer or use pedometer applications on your mobile phone while walking. It will be motivating. Have a goal of 10,000 steps a day. To make this easier, do not drive everywhere. Do not always use public transportation, use your walking distances by walking. Use the stairs instead of the elevator. Wander around the office, target more distant markets for your shopping.

As we get older, our metabolism slows down and we need to activate it with exercise. Especially for women, regular exercise should be your biggest helper during the period of hormonal imbalance and therefore weight gain that begins with menopause. At this age, outdoor walks also help you relax both mentally and physically. Avoid going out in the sun in the midday heat during the summer months. It is healthier to walk by eating something light before and after the walk and drinking 3-4 glasses of water and 1 bottle of mineral water afterwards. These options can be 1 bowl of homemade fruit yoghurt, watermelon cheese, a light olive oil meal and yoghurt, brown bread and cheese toast.

Finally, walking during pregnancy and pregnancy pilates are my recommendations for both losing weight during pregnancy and a healthy birth. . Breastfeeding mothers should also create opportunities for walking, so that they can rest their minds by taking time for themselves and lose their birth weight gradually.

I wish healthy days to all Bizim Aile readers...
