Individual therapy is the client's one-on-one work with the therapist on the problems he/she is experiencing. Individual therapy is a therapeutic process formed by a safe relationship between the therapist and the client, aiming to improve the quality of life by facilitating the change of negative emotions, thoughts and behavior for the person. Individual therapy is used to help the individual cope with the problems he encounters in his daily life, to look at the events he experiences from different perspectives, and to produce solutions in difficult situations. Individual therapy aims to support the person in matters such as self-knowledge and development, getting to the root of problems, strengthening coping mechanisms, and increasing psychological resilience.
In individual interviews, the first meeting usually takes place with the so-called anamnesis process, establishing a safe relationship between the therapist and the client and the therapist trying to get to know the client.
