Sometimes, these curvatures are first noticed by those who wash the patient
in the bathroom. This observation should be taken seriously and the curvature should be evaluated with quality x-rays taken appropriately. These are special films that will be taken
standing or lying down, in which the patient is asked to bend forward/backward and/or to the right/left side
and sometimes is forced to bend. Most of the time, X-rays start from the foot and include the head. They cannot be performed
anywhere, it will be necessary to go to advanced centers.
According to the degrees obtained in the curvature measurements, it is decided what kind of treatment
will be applied. The entire spine of these patients must be examined with MRI, so that if there is a congenital anomaly that causes curvature, it can be revealed and treated with surgery as a priority.
Sometimes, only these anomalies can be corrected. It can even stop the progression of scoliosis or kyphosis
