- Hashimoto's Thyroiditis
Hashimoto's thyroiditis is an autoimmune disease. There is destruction of the thyroid gland. It is the most common cause of hypothyroidism, that is, underactive thyroid gland. If hypothyroidism has developed, thyroid hormone is used in the treatment. It must be monitored at regular intervals.
- Diabetes
Diabeta Mellitus (Diabetes) is examined in two main sections. Type I diabetes mellitus is the type that is seen mostly at young ages, is characterized by destruction of the pancreas and is treated with insulin. Type II diabetes mellitus is the type that is mostly seen in adulthood, caused by insulin resistance, and has many treatment methods.
- Subacute Thyroid
Subacute Thyroiditis is inflammation of the thyroid gland caused by antibodies that usually occurs 2-3 weeks after a throat infection. Pain, tenderness and general malaise occur in the thyroid gland. In the beginning, hyperthyroidism usually occurs, and later on, hypothyroidism usually occurs. It should definitely be followed by an endocrinologist.
