Speech therapistis a person who deals with the therapy of individuals suffering from language and speech disorders. Various universities in our country have been training speech therapists at the master's level for more than 30 years. Some of these universities are Hacettepe Audiology department, Gazi University ENT audiology department, Anadolu University Dilkon. In recent years, they have started to provide undergraduate level education.

Where can speech therapists find work?
A therapist has the opportunity to work in many fields and institutions. In our country, the main working areas are hospitals, private therapy centers, and elderly care homes constitute another working area. The insufficient number of speech therapists makes employment difficult in schools and guidance research centers. We hope to see therapists here as the number of graduates in this field increases.
How many therapists are needed in Turkey?
A therapist can treat 20-30 patients weekly. Considering that our country's population is 80 million, there is a lot of need in this field. The current need is met by professionals in other fields turning to this field. We believe that new graduates will take care of their profession and fill the gap in this field in a short time.
