STEPS OF NIGHTENING IN CARDIAC VESSELS
Healthy Vessel: The inner surface of the normal vessel is covered with a very thin membrane (endothelium). This membrane secretes substances that ensure the fluidity of the blood and prevent the formation of clots in the vessel.
Hardened Artery (Hidden Heart Disease Period): As time passes, the arteries in the body develop fatty tissue in places. cholesterol) accumulation occurs. This accumulation occurs over a very long period of time (like 10-20 years). In the early period, the stenosis in the vessels (degree of stenosis is 30-40%)does not cause any complaints or symptoms because it does not create a significant obstacle to blood flow. It is very difficult and sometimes impossible to diagnose in this period.
Hardened and Narrowed Vessel (Obvious Heart Disease): The accumulation of fat (cholesterol) in the vein wall continues at varying speeds but without stopping. As soon as the degree of stenosis exceeds 70-80%, patients may experience complaints such as chest pain and shortness of breath.
Completely Blocked Vessel (Heart Attack Moment): The heart vessel, which was previously narrowed due to fat (cholesterol) accumulation, suddenly and very quickly (seconds or minutes) is a condition that occurs on the narrowing. It may become clogged with 'clot'. In this case, since no blood will flow to the heart muscle, the heart muscle completely loses its vitality. This condition is called 'infarction' (heart attack) in medical language.
