But we can't stop eating, we have to eat to live. So how do you know if you've managed to recover while continuing to eat? The answer is that food addiction is not actually about food. It's about eating or not eating to cope with certain emotions.
Getting rid of food addiction means finding healthier ways to deal with emotions. This is also your ability to judge yourself correctly in the life you live, to criticize yourself and to accept some things as they are.

Our core beliefs determine how we see ourselves, others, and the world. They occur when we experience a traumatic or distressing event in childhood or adulthood. Core beliefs often relate to primitive needs such as safety, attention, love, and approval. “I am not safe” or “I have to be good to be loved” are common beliefs. When a core belief is formed, some of your behaviors change without you realizing it, and eating behavior is among the things that change. In this case, you should decide whether these beliefs are useful for you, and if they are not, you should try to change these beliefs.
5)Meet the real needs of your soul
When you do this, it means you are free from food addiction. People find spiritual fulfillment through meditation, nature walks, attending social or religious services, etc.
The key is to be kind to yourself and forgive yourself for any wasted time. Sentence patterns such as "I will notice my anger before numbing it with food" direct you to meet the body's real needs. When your life is guided by the true desires of your soul, you consume food to meet your physical needs, not to fill a bottomless void.
