Adolescent Crisis
Adolescent Crisis: adolescence is the most complex and depressing period of human life. During this period, which covers the age range of 14-24, adolescents encounter many problems and the many decisions they make will radically affect their future lives. However, many adolescents do not have the slightest knowledge about how to make a decision. For this reason, they experience adolescence crisis.
Adolescent Crisis
Adolescence is the crossroads of human life. Adolescents themselves are at the crossroads of their education and business lives. There are many issues that need to be decided quickly. During this period, the adolescent wants to be independent and free from his family and society, but the family and society apply intense pressure on the adolescent not to become individualized. Adolescents have a hard time choosing between being an individual and being social. This pressure and tension emerges as a teenage crisis in the adolescent.
The 14-25 age period of the adolescent's life is the most vital period for the development of a free, original personality. The decisions he makes during this period will affect his whole life. Because being original requires being independent and different from others. This requires confronting society and family and fighting against them. War creates tension with family and society. The result of tension manifests itself in the depression of adolescence. However, we must know that it is not possible to have a healthy development in human and social life without such crises and tensions. Every development, growth and achievement has a price. The price of being individual and free is the adolescence crisis.
Educational life is shaped during adolescence. We decide which school we will attend and which profession we will pursue during this period. The high school we will attend gives us a strong indication of which university or department we can attend. The university we go to will help us in what profession we can pursue, how and to what extent we can realize ourselves. A decision that is made or not made here appears as a teenage crisis.
During a long and unresolved period of adolescence, we encounter depression, anxiety, and thoughts of suicide. It may appear as a sound. If he has a long-lasting teenage crisis problem, he definitely needs psychotherapy help. Adolescent problems that are not treated in time may turn into a problem that is very difficult to solve in the future.
