Subconscious Therapy for Children and Adults

Subconscious therapy is suitable for both children and adults. In this article, I chose to explain it through children. What does subconscious therapy look like? I think subconscious therapy is like a fairy tale. It's like a fairy tale. Animals, trees, flowers, insects, gardens, fields, moon, sun, stars. First, we must make the child suitable for the session with breathing and relaxation exercises. During the breathing and relaxation exercise, the eyes are already closed, and our child continues the session with his eyes closed but awake, that is, conscious, throughout the session. If they wish, the parents can also watch the session, there is no harm in it, but the child's consent is required for this.

During the session, we ask the child some questions and he answers them. For example, while the child's eyes are closed, we ask the child: Our voice is very calm and loving, "There is an animal coming from behind, now let's see what animal it is?" When we ask which animal do you see, we get an answer from the child. The questions we ask and the answers the child gives have a meaning, a value. The psychologist analyzes this. In his subconscious language, he interprets what happens in return. In this way, the child does not get bored because he does not talk directly about his problems. This is very important so that the child or adult does not get bored or feel unhappy during the session. In this subconscious session, the child just goes on an exotic tour in his subconscious, but in the meantime, the psychologist changes the schemas (we can also call them thought patterns or codes) in the subconscious that are useless and create problems in the child's life. A change is achieved through this.

How long does it take for the change to occur in the child, when will I see the change I want in the child? I would say at least 2 sessions and often more sessions are necessary. Because it takes time for the new thought patterns I have established to take hold. Just as we brew tea but we cannot drink it immediately, we wait for it to brew, the change of the child is also a process that takes time. Most of the time, the child is already relaxed at the end of the session. But some children have a stomach ache, in fact, we should evaluate the stomach ache positively, we have taken away something that the child has been using for a long time. We put a new one. Well, in this case, it may be difficult to get used to it, abdominal pain and nausea are its signals, the signal of change. So it's good. It shows that the work we do is working. But if there is no pain, we cannot say that it did not work. We can say that he accepted the change more easily and did not experience any side effects. I can compare it to this: Let's say you had your eyes examined and the doctor told you to wear glasses and you will use glasses for the first time. It may be difficult at first, glasses will cause headaches and nausea, but if you continue to wear those glasses, after 2 weeks at the latest, your eyes will get used to them. Likewise, when we place a schema or thought pattern in the subconscious that will enable us to engage in new healthy behaviors, it may take time to get used to it, because it takes time to get used to everything new, but the child's behavior changes over time. Sometimes this change happens immediately, sometimes it happens over time, I can briefly say that it is a situation that varies from child to child.

What is the useless thought pattern (negative schemas)?

Even though we do not realize it, our thoughts rule us. . And some of our thoughts do not support us or even hinder us. We call these thought patterns that hinder us, that is, negatively affect us, schema. Negative schemas e.g. These are thoughts such as 'I am an unloved child', 'I am an incompetent child', 'I am a stupid child'. We can adapt these things to adults as well. If we ask the child openly, he may say "no, I don't think so", but he is not even aware that he thinks this way subconsciously. This also applies to us adults. These thoughts I mentioned do not come to light, but they constantly buzz like the radio playing in the background. They affect us. If we change them, we will realize that we are stronger against any destructive and sad event we experience. Because this is the world and we may encounter negative events in the world. In these situations, acting as we wish and getting the results we want is related to our behavior. And our behaviors are governed by schemas, and we change these schemas in subconscious therapy. Children also change in the face of the events they experience and exhibit aggressive behavior, even though they are toilet trained, they urinate again. He begins to have difficulty raising his hand in the classroom (we can extend this list, he may have behavioral problems for a while). Again, here too, the schemas in the child's mind are actually responsible for the child's behavior. When these schemas are changed in subconscious therapy, the child begins to think differently than before, that is, to think healthier, and to behave differently than before, that is, to behave healthier. For example, he stops nibbling, he starts to raise his hand in class, he can start playing games with his friends, if he hits his friends, he stops hitting his friends and starts expressing what he is angry with in sentences.

How does the subconscious of the parents affect the child?

In order to reinforce the change we want, it is useful to look into the subconscious of your parents and even your siblings. Because we can compare the family to a rosary; when you hit one bead of the rosary, the others vibrate, right? Or let's think of dominoes, the movement of one stone sets all the other stones into motion. For this, sometimes it is necessary to use the parents' subconscious as a tool to help the child. For this reason, working with parents will be very, very valuable.
