Full Porcelain Crowns

The most important feature that distinguishes full porcelain jacket crowns from other aesthetic applications is that no infrastructure material such as metal or zirconium is used to form a basis for the porcelain. They are prepared from special porcelain with a reinforced structure.

They best imitate the light-transmitting properties of natural teeth. They have superior aesthetic properties. This reaction to light causes the crown to appear alive. It imitates the feeling of depth of the natural tooth. No matter how aesthetically pleasing metal-supported porcelain crowns are tried, they cannot achieve the aesthetics of full porcelain crowns due to this feature. Due to this feature, they have high aesthetics, especially in the front group teeth. Full porcelain crowns (porcelain jacket crowns) are preferred for expectation.

NOT ALLERGIC: The risk of metal allergy, which can rarely be seen against some metals (such as nickel), does not exist in full porcelain crowns. Because the biological compatibility of porcelain with the gum is high.

VISUAL APPEARANCE: Although many things affect the appearance of crowns, the most important is their reaction to light. Natural teeth transmit light. As a result, depth and vitality appear in the teeth. Due to the light transmitting properties of metal-free porcelain crowns (full porcelain), their depth and vitality are greater, thus providing results closest to natural teeth. However, even the most perfectly made metal-supported porcelain crowns do not transmit light, so this liveliness of porcelain without metal support cannot be achieved.

IN THE FACE OF STRONG LIGHT: Since metal-supported porcelain does not transmit light, it cannot be used in photographs and strong lights (such as disco). Under special lighting in places and in front of camera flash, a dark area appearance may occur in the mouth. These problems are not encountered in metal-free porcelains, as their response to light is similar to that of natural teeth.

HOLDER: Metal-supported porcelains are mechanically bonded to the teeth. Full porcelains are attached to the teeth both mechanically and chemically. Therefore, their retention is much higher than metal-supported ones.

RELATIONSHIP WITH THE GUM: Since there is no metal in its infrastructure, there is a dark color at the level of the crown and the gum. There will be no line. A more aesthetic appearance is provided. While full porcelains maintain their aesthetic appearance when the gum recedes, metal porcelains create a bad appearance in the area where they meet the tooth.
