A virus that damages the liver. If not treated within 1 hour after birth, babies will be carriers for life. It is transmitted to the baby at birth. There is no cure, but it can be prevented from affecting the baby by vaccination.
Herpes
It causes miscarriage in the first trimester. Neonatal herpes occurs if it is transmitted to the baby at birth. HIV
