Thinking about the events in the past increases the feeling of guilt, and thinking about the future increases the feeling of anxiety. The past, as it turns out, is the "past"; If it's coming, it hasn't come yet. The only moment we experience is the moment we breathe. Let's appreciate the moment!

Aware we miss out on the beauty of life. We are always in a rush and rush. We are not even aware of what we lost while trying to have better, more and more beautiful ones.

Mankind has increased the complaint while decreasing gratitude. What does the Prophet (pbuh) say with the verse: "Le-in sugartum leezidennekum." (If you are grateful for my greatness, of course, I will increase my -bounty- for you.)

By saying this, Almighty Allah reminds us once again the importance of gratitude. While there is a focus on beauty and goodness in our daily lives, instead of focusing on the empty side of the glass and giving thanks, we commend the complaint in our language. As a result, we have become a society that is unhappy and not satisfied with what it has. Mankind's unhappiness increased even more because it made comparisons with neighbors, friends and relatives instead of the possibilities it has. By not giving, we miss the beauties of the moment we live in, we poison life to ourselves. Will we forget the past? Of course not! The past exists to learn from experience. We will not forget the past, but we will not live in the past.

We always live in the past instead of focusing on what makes us happy and good for us. Or we miss the beauties of the moment by being in a rush of what we want to do in the coming days and months to come. Maybe we find ourselves thinking about the same subject for days. For example, a problem in traffic, a negative situation at work can constantly come to mind. You may find yourself thinking over and over again about this problem you have been experiencing for days.

You are carrying the heavy burdens of the past without realizing it. The event as a result It is difficult to correct; There are many negative aspects such as mental fatigue, stress, distraction and not being able to focus on current work. Studies show that people remember negative events in the past more than positive ones. For example, people often talk more about their failures. However, talking about goodness and beauty not only increases goodness and beauty, but also affects human beings positively. It increases one's self-confidence. Sometimes a scent of flowers or an event we witness takes us back years. The event we remember can make us happy or sad. Then the journey to the future begins, we worry about the future or we start making plans.

Mankind can experience many emotions such as happiness, sadness, longing and anger while oscillating between the past and the future. Because he is always traveling between the past and the future, he does not even realize that he has missed the most precious treasure, the moment.

The way to live the moment is to pay attention to the things that will make you happy and that will be good for you and pay attention only to it. It could be a baby's smile. Or going into the kitchen and preparing something for the people you love, reading a book, sitting by the sea and burying your feet in the sand, the sound of waves in your ears, the salty smell of the sea in your nose, a calm blue in your eyes and a gentle wind… If we can enjoy these beauties with our five senses, it means we are living in the moment.

In short, we should not think about anything for the moment and focus only on that moment. Maybe we can't do this all the time, but as much as we can... I say don't miss the beauties of life. Nothing is more valuable than today. You cannot relive yesterday. You cannot reach tomorrow. Every moment is important. During the day, it is more valuable to live in the moment.
