WHAT IS FILIAL PLAY THERAPY?

Our children need to share their feelings with us, their parents. However, in today's conditions, parents from all socio-economic levels are in a
effort and rush to achieve their living standards. According to research, the amount of time a mother can spend quality one-on-one time with her child is 2 minutes a day; The time a father spends with his child is limited to only 50
seconds a day. Unfortunately, when the situation is like this, children have an emotional
hunger waiting to be satisfied. Filial Therapy is an educational program that guides parents to strengthen their relationships with their children through play. Our parenting styles largely shape and cause our children, our miracles sent to us by God, to be angry,
aggressive, introverted, insecure, stubborn….
Filial Therapy, It is a psycho-educational approach that aims to solve family problems related to the child and strengthen the family relationship by integrating play therapy and family therapy. The therapist teaches parents how to apply child-centered play therapy skills in play sessions with their
children. Since it aims to increase openness and trust in the relationship between parent and child,
it is a therapy program that is both preventive and helps solve the problem if there is one.
With Filial Therapy, parents can tell their children, "I'm here, I hear you, you." They convey the message
I understand.
Filial Therapy, which is a part of Client-Centered Play therapy, of which Gary Landerth is the theorist, helps families help their children gain 'limit setting' skills, so that the child can make choices and
helps them gain the ability to take responsibility, regardless of the outcome of this choice.
We can protect our assets that we avoid from all evil in the first years when we can keep them within our own security circle, but what about later?! When you reach high school age, when we can't see it!? Will we be able to be with you at all times? We may be greeted with an invitation from any of our children, such as 'Come look
smell this powder, it's fun.' How many minutes does it take to pass and trial period? If
we can teach our precious children to take responsibility with limits and options, our child can make the right choice with his own internal
control, even when we are not around.

Play Therapy is a therapy technique that lasts 45 minutes and is performed with a single child. Filial Therapy Technique is a therapy technique that can be given to the parents of an average of 8-9 children in a single
session. The session duration of Filial Therapy is 90 minutes. We meet with parents once a week under the leadership of a therapist. In filial therapy, parents play games with their child for 30 minutes once a week in line with the therapist's teachings, and evaluations are made by watching this game time recorded on camera. correct their mistakes and improve themselves in communicating effectively with their children.
