NON-SURGERY DISC HERNIA TREATMENT

NON-SURGICAL TREATMENT OF INITIAL HERNIA
The cartilage between the vertebrae has slipped out of place, but it has not torn the capsule around it. There is slight pressure on the spinal cord or nerves coming to the legs. The patient complains of lower back pain. Pain may occur unilaterally or bilaterally in the legs. There is no loss of strength or reflexes in the feet.

If the patient only has leg pain and no other symptoms are observed, open surgery is generally not preferred. It would be right to choose other treatment methods. However, if the patient's pain does not decrease after being treated for an average of 45 days, surgery may be decided due to "leg pain only". The important thing is to use all possible treatment options for the patient without surgery. If the patient does not improve despite everything, surgery will of course be required.

WHAT IS THE 100-DAY NON-SURGERY TREATMENT OF ADVANCED DISC HERNIA?
The waist has progressed up to the last 4-5 years. It was thought that hernia treatment could only be possible through SURGERY. However, recently different ideas have been put forward on this subject. If the cartilage tissue that breaks off into the spinal canal is not too large and the patient does not lose strength or have urinary problems, it is possible to apply non-surgical treatments UNDER THE CONTROL OF A DOCTOR. Because our body has the power to dissolve or destroy all or part of the cartilage in the spinal canal within an average of 100 days. This feature varies from person to person. Improvement can be seen more clearly in people with high body resistance, that is, their immune system.

Since the piece of cartilage leading to the spinal canal is located in a place where it should not be, it is treated as a foreign substance by the body, and the body fights against this substance with all its might and tries to destroy it, just like a microbe.

This issue is a very sensitive one. It is not possible to decide on your own. Only an experienced neurosurgeon can make this decision.

For this decision, the size of the cartilage protruding into the spinal canal, whether there is any damage to you and its degree, your pain condition, where the cartilage piece is located, etc. All of them should be evaluated separately. experience A skilled neurosurgeon can decide whether this type of hernia can be healed based on his own experience. However, a doctor who does not want to spend too much time on the patient and does not want to take responsibility can choose the easiest and shortest way, that is, surgery.

You must be under the doctor's control during this treatment. And it requires close follow-up.

As a result of smart treatments and conscious follow-up within the 100-day period, which is very important for the patient, most of our patients are saved from surgery.

100 DAY TREATMENT
Medical ozone therapy + Medical leech therapy + Magnetic field therapy and Stem cell therapy are planned for the patient. 10 sessions are applied 2 days a week. Disc herniation treatment methods are non-surgical. The treatment takes 5 weeks in total. In addition, treatment with stem cells obtained from blood is performed twice, 3 weeks apart. During the treatment period, the patient must be closely monitored by the doctor. If examination findings progress during the treatment process, treatment may be discontinued and surgery may be recommended. The aim of the treatment is to increase the body's immune power and ensure that the cartilage piece that falls into the spinal canal is dissolved by the body's immune system. In patients with a strong immune system, almost all of the cartilage can be dissolved and destroyed. If the patient's pain decreases regularly throughout the treatment and his complaints continue to disappear, he can regain his old health after an average of 100 days.

TREATMENT PROGRAM FOR OUR PATIENTS COMING FROM OUT OF CITY
We start treatment for our patients coming from out of town on Mondays. We are treating for a total of 5 days until Friday. Our patient stays in Denizli for 4 nights. During this period, we apply 5 sessions of ozone therapy, 3 sessions of leech therapy and one session of stem cell (CGF) therapy. If necessary, we also add manual therapy sessions to the treatment.

WHY ARE WE AFRAID OF SURGERY?
In the follow-up of patients after herniated disc surgery, nearly half of the patients have recurrence of herniated disc within a 10-year period. is. Treatment of recurrent herniated disc is not easy.

First of all, I would like to say that the second herniated disc surgery was performed under difficult and adverse conditions. Due to the adhesion of the nerve tissue to the surroundings and the change in the anatomical structure of the region after the first surgery, many complications may occur in the second surgery, from rupture of the nerve sheath to nerve rupture. In some cases, if adhesion occurs at the surgery site, treatment becomes even more difficult. In my career, I have seen patients who had surgery for a herniated disc 8 times and still have not recovered.

For this reason, I make the decision for surgery for a herniated disc very difficult, so to speak, by splitting hairs. I recommend this to all my physician friends.

DRUG TREATMENT OF HERNIA
Disc herniation is a mechanical event. In other words, the cartilage between the vertebrae has become dislodged and spread to a place where it should not be. Here, 10-15 cm from our back. Unfortunately, there is no medication that will affect this cartilage displacement that occurs at depth and in the spinal canal. In other words, there is NO HERNIA MEDICATION as popularly thought. Medicines given for herniated disc are given only to relieve pain and resolve edema that may occur in the nerve. Their effect on the actual mechanism is zero. You take pain medication and it relieves your pain for about 8 hours. Muscle relaxant drugs (I say this with confidence from my experience) are of no importance. It has no effect on the healing of the hernia. Also, cortisone-containing medications given to herniated disc patients are given to relieve the edema that occurs in the nerve and causes pain. In some cases, warming creams are given. These creams are applied to the waist area. These work to temporarily reduce the feeling of pain by increasing blood flow in that area.

**Attention: All kinds of creams, patches, trout melted in oil, etc. etc. used in patients with herniated disc. It does not eliminate the herniated disc.**

** Massage and hot springs applied to the waist area have no curative effect on the hernia. Again, these are practices aimed at reducing the pain that is a symptom of the disease for a few hours. They are not a treatment method**
