Osteoporosis is generally a painless and progressive disease. However, one type of osteoporosis is both painful and reversible. It is seen in the hip joint. It is called temporary osteoporosis of the hip because it is a temporary osteoporosis that does not cause permanent damage.
Risk Factors
- Late periods of pregnancy (after the 6th month)
- 40 -Male patients aged 70 years old
Complaints
- Sudden onset of hip, groin and anterior thigh pain
- Pain can sometimes radiate to the back of the hip and waist
- There is no history of trauma or injury that triggers the pain
- Hip movements are restricted
- Pain decreases with rest and increases with movement
Diagnosis
The patient's risk factors and complaints are evaluated and a physical examination is performed. Generally, the diagnosis is made after excluding other causes of hip pain such as stress fracture, avascular necrosis, and muscle strain. X-ray is required for differential diagnosis, but it does not provide information about temporary osteoporosis. MRI gives very valuable information and must be taken for diagnosis.
Transient Osteoporosis of the Hip The exact cause of this disease is unknown.
Treatment

- Exercises to strengthen the muscles around the hip joint
