mindfulness

With changing times, people's responsibilities increased and the time they devoted to themselves decreased. Books and articles containing many recommendations under the title of what you need to do to keep the quality of life high are increasing day by day.

There is a new concept that most of us know and almost all of us have heard of at least once, Mindfulness. In fact, this concept, which was put forward before the 2000s, has become a popular idea almost since 2014. Mindfulness is a field that truly increases our quality of life by being in the moment, gaining awareness. Mindfulness, which also means the science of happiness or conscious awareness, focuses on what makes you unhappy, not what makes you happy. Thus, it allows you to move away from the path that makes you unhappy and see the path to happiness.

With mindfulness, a person focuses on the moment and allows his mind to become clear like water. It also helps you cope with stress, control anxiety, and even protect yourself from physical discomfort caused by your thoughts. Our mind is like a machine that works all the time, so our thoughts make it difficult to focus on the moment. When this is the case, we do not pay attention to what we do or feel at the moment because our minds are always occupied by either our past or our plans for the future. A question for you: How many percent of you think about yesterday, how many percent of tomorrow, and how many percent of now do you think about in a day? How much do you pay attention to what you are doing at that moment or to your immediate feelings?

It is very normal that you are experiencing difficulties in your work, relationships, or have had a very stressful day. As a result, you will be unhappy and indirectly reduce your quality of life. If you are in this situation, do not wait to apply the Mindfulness philosophy.

The idea of here and now, which is very important in psychology, tells you to stay in the moment by freeing you from the anxiety of both the past and the future. You will be surprised at the huge difference you will see in yourself as a result. With mindfulness, you will feel stronger in focusing and coping with the challenges you encounter in your life.

Now close your eyes and listen to yourself, what are you thinking, what are you feeling at that moment, listen to what is happening around you, where you are and how you are sitting. Watch out for space. Then, consider how much of what you just thought you were aware of before you opened your eyes. You can learn to manage your mind by repeating this exercise from time to time.

I'm sure you haven't paid attention to the color of a building you've passed by hundreds of times, or maybe you haven't even noticed that there is a building there. Considering the intense pace of your mind, this is not surprising. But when you organize your thoughts, notice the beauties of that moment, and listen to the voice of your emotions, you will see what a great thing you have done for yourself.
