Facial Aesthetics in General

What is the Topographic Anatomy of the Human Face?
The human face is examined by dividing it into 3 horizontal parts. The area from the beginning of the hair to the eyes is called the 'Upper Face', the area between the eyes and the lip line is called the 'Mid Face', and the area from the lip line to the tip of the chin is called the 'Lower Face'. The face is examined by dividing it into 5 parts vertically. Perpendicular lines passing through both wings of the nose form the middle column. On both sides of the middle column, the areas between the nose wing or the inner point where the eyelids meet (medial canthus) and the outer point where the eyelids meet (lateral canthus) are the 2nd and 3rd areas. The 4th and 5th columns extend on both outer sides of these columns. Aesthetic face; It starts with a thin chin, cheeks that are slightly wider upwards, and is expressed by the 'inverted triangle' shape formed by the cheekbones in the widest part of the face. Because the corners of the lips, the lines crossing the inner and outer edges of the eye, and the axis of the eyebrows all follow this inverted triangle pattern and follow a line from inside to outside, from bottom to top.

What are the Effects of Aging on the Human Face?
Aging; It occurs due to slowing down of tissue regeneration, decreased elasticity, damage caused by smoking, sunlight and some chemical substances to the skin, and the wearing effect of gravity. Skin that is damaged and whose regenerative capacity is reduced loses its shine and becomes thinner. Tissues that lose their flexibility capacity are displaced downwards under the influence of gravity. Deep and superficial wrinkles occur under the influence of the muscles in the floor. As a result, the face turns into a 'rectangular' shape. In rectangular face mould; While the tissues at the level of the cheekbones descend towards the cheeks, the cheeks both melt and sag lower. The corners of the lips, the axis of the eyes and eyebrows undergo similar displacement.

What should be the target in facial aesthetic applications?
Considering the changes mentioned above, the aim of the rejuvenation procedures to be applied to the face is;

1- Brightening of the skin and to restore its quality.
2- To obscure superficial and deep wrinkles on the skin and, if possible, to eliminate them.
3- To turn the facial lines that fit the rectangular pattern back into an inverted triangular pattern.
