Clean Teeth for a Clean Smile...

Hello, dear readers, in this month's article, I will tell you about the importance of teeth and tooth surface cleaning for a clean, spacious and confident smile. Unfortunately, many of us may not pay enough attention to the care and cleaning of our teeth in our daily hustle and bustle. While brushing our teeth, especially if we are in a hurry due to work, we brush it quickly and with superficial movements without taking care. Especially many of us do not even know dental floss, let alone use it. In this case, since our teeth are not cleaned sufficiently, first a membranous layer, which we call bacterial plaque, forms on them, and then this layer turns into dental calculus (tartar) with the help of various ions in saliva. Yes, you heard right, dental stone does not come from anywhere else, it is formed directly by the uncontrolled proliferation of bacteria in our mouth and the metabolic products of these bacteria. These tartars, which mostly form on the tongue-facing surfaces of our lower front teeth, irritate our tongue, form an uncomfortable mass, and if we still neglect it, cause gum bleeding, gum recession, and even cause our teeth to shake and recede. So is there no cure? Of course there is, in a case that is not too severe, it can be cleared in an average of 30-45 minutes. This process, which we call tooth surface cleaning, can be applied by various methods. The most well-known of these are ultrasonic scrapers (scaler, or cavitron). When used by competent people, contrary to urban legends, it does not cause any harm to teeth. Another method is compressed air abrasives (also known as air abrasion, or air flow), which slowly started to enter our country in the early 90s. These devices break up dental tartar by spraying small beads in their chambers onto the tooth surface with the help of compressed air. No matter how scary it sounds, this method does not harm the teeth. After both methods, the remaining stains and roughnesses are removed with the magic rotating brushes and special polishing pastes of our dentists and clean and shiny surfaces are provided on the teeth. If you ask how often this process should be repeated, my answer is; It will be “up to you”. So that; If you need dental cleaning and care If you show symptoms, you will need this treatment at very long intervals. While I recommend you to see your dentist for fresher breath and cleaner teeth in these days when we are fascinated by the summer holiday, I wish you healthy days and remind you that you can do the best dental cleaning yourself, as long as you brush your teeth twice a day for two minutes and clean your teeth between your teeth. Use the rope.

With love
