Pandora's Box

“ The demigod Prometheus does not consent to the gods keeping the fire only to themselves while people continue to suffer misery. One day, he steals fire from the top of Olympus and brings it to people. Zeus, enraged, punishes Prometheus with endless torture. To take revenge on people, he creates a woman; Pandora. He gives a box to Pandora, telling her never to open it. Pandora opens the box and all evil spills out into the world. Grudge, hatred, hypocrisy, lie, arrogance. At the last moment, Pandora closes the box and only hope remains hidden inside the box..."

The price of fire, which carries wisdom and light to humans, seems to have been very heavy. Eve eating the forbidden apple, rebellious Lilith, Pandora opening the forbidden box. Women who lead humanity astray and embody evil. There are always punishments, threats and intimidations on the way to freedom and enlightenment. And there is hope hidden inside the box!

The day the human baby is born, he is trying to hold on to life. He cries when he is hungry, cold, or hurt. He cries for someone to come and feed him, warm him and protect him. The driving force towards life within; The more it is reciprocated and loved by others, the more hope grows. The innocence and beauty you see on a child's face is the picture of hope. As we grow up, we learn to grow or extinguish hope through what we are exposed to. Hope; It is an emotion that keeps people alive, increases their desire to live, makes them creative and progresses. Despair is incompatible with life. Hope is born with struggle and grows with struggle. The first day we cry to live is the starting point of our struggle. This is what distinguishes him from a lazy dreamer.

We experienced the referendum from seven to seventy in its most fraudulent, most hypocritical and shameless form. Just when we thought about this time, we were left with a huge disappointment. The feeling that somehow they did it again and won came over many of us. Since the issue of these days is "hope", we think Pandora has spoken to our minds from far away. Because this is not the day to despair. Those of you with small children, let's say you didn't turn on the TV, you didn't talk much in front of them, where did you hide your emotions? Your children experienced these days with you as they saw them in your eyes. They were afraid, frightened, silent, or maybe mixed with anger but with hope, faith, fear. They thought they could handle it. They recorded all of this. You either raised or extinguished their hopes.

Children learn mostly by what you do, not by what you say. If you think that you cannot hold a powerful person in power accountable today, know that your child cannot learn to hold accountable an adult who uses violence or harasses him. If you are silently waiting for someone to save you on your behalf today, you cannot expect your children to defend themselves or have the ability to cope with their problems.

Both hope and despair are contagious. If there are people around you who are constantly lamenting in despair and living in passive waiting, after a while you will feel like you are starting to resemble them. Productive people hope. Strugglers hope. Because they not only think but also transform. People who can transform themselves and their environment give you hope, too.

Today, those who embody hope, that is, the power to struggle, will be the ones who carry the light. Those who can say "we do not believe, we are not afraid, we do not bow down" are hopeful because they know they can do this. As long as you carry the torch alone, it is doomed to go out. Only when we are together can they enlighten your path. Pandora's box has already been opened.
