Birth Control with Vaginal Ring

What is Protection with Vaginal Ring? How Does It Work?
The monthly birth control ring is made of a special transparent material with a diameter of approximately 5 cm. It has a flexible and transparent structure. Once applied, it releases in a controlled manner depending on body temperature and concentration difference. Therefore, the drug level in the blood does not fluctuate every day, as in women taking pills.

Is there a danger of being inserted incorrectly?
The ring was developed for one-month use. It is inserted into the vagina like a suppository. It is not possible to apply it incorrectly. Exactly where you stand does not matter in terms of its effectiveness. The ring is left in the vagina for 3 weeks, then removed for 1 week. Removal can be easily done by inserting it under the edge of the index finger or squeezing it between the middle finger and the index finger and pulling it out slowly. During this 1-week period, the woman experiences bleeding. A new ring is applied exactly 7 days after the ring is removed. Initially, the first ring is placed between the 1st and 5th days of menstrual bleeding.

Is there a way to understand whether it is placed correctly?

Due to the anatomy of the vagina, it is very difficult to place it incorrectly. Generally, it is difficult to reach the ring on the back wall of the vagina by finger control, which may indicate that it is inserted correctly.

Who Should Use It?
It is not suitable for women who have had cervix problems or have chronic or severe constipation.

Is There a Risk of the Ring Falling?
Due to anatomical differences, the rate of falling is reported as 2.7 percent. In case the ring falls or is removed, it is recommended to wash it with cold or warm water and place it within 3 hours.

Same Ring Can it be Reused?
The ring was developed for one-month use, therefore reusing the same ring for the second month will not be effective.
