PRP

PRP application is the process of preparing platelet-rich plasma. An amount of blood taken from the person is centrifuged to separate red blood cells from platelets and serum. Thus, a serum rich in platelets and other growth factors is obtained.

Platelets are the cells responsible for blood clotting. They also contain growth factors responsible for the healing and renewal process of tissue. Growth factors contained in platelets stimulate fibroblasts and increase collagen synthesis.

Due to age and environmental factors, there is a decrease in collagen and elastic fibers in the skin and deterioration in their structure. As a result, the skin's elasticity decreases, wrinkles increase and sagging begins.

How is the application done?

The patient's blood is taken and combined with a special kit that provides DNA activation and is kept for 5-8 minutes. It is centrifuged at 3000 rpm. In the tube after centrifugation; There is plasma at the top, a part called 'buffy coat' rich in white blood cells and platelets, and a part rich in red blood cells at the bottom. The resulting plasma is very rich in platelets. This plasma part of the blood is injected into and under the skin with tiny needles.
The amount of platelets in the blood is related to the individual's age, gender, genetic structure and lifestyle.
Better results are generally obtained in patients who do not drink alcohol and smoke.
