Manual treatment; It is a method of using hands in the treatment of some diseases.
It includes pressing, stretching and pulling processes appropriate to the patient's anatomical structure and disease. It is frequently used in spine diseases. It is especially effective in cases of lumbar disc herniation, cervical disc herniation, and mechanical lower back pain.
In our clinic, we apply manual treatment especially to DISCULAR DISCUSSION, DISCRETIONAL HERNIA, and JOINT BLOCKAGE that mimics a herniated disc. .
HEALING CAN BE ACHIEVED IN A SINGLE SESSION
Nowadays, it has become a habit to call all kinds of back pain "herniated disc". However, there are many different causes of lower back pain. One of the less well-known causes of pain is "joint blockage". It is especially common in the joint between the pelvis and coccyx, which we call the sacroiliac joint, and in the joints at the junction of the vertebrae. They present with very severe back pain. Patients can even arrive on stretchers. In order not to confuse this back pain with herniated disc pain, the doctor must perform a very careful examination. If "joint blockage" is detected, it is possible to be treated even in one session with manual treatment methods.
I SORRY TO SAY THAT MANY PATIENTS WITH JOINT BLOCKAGE ARE CALLED A HERNIATED DISC. AND THEY EVEN HAVE SURGERY.
However, the patient has a chance of recovery with a simple manual treatment session. For this reason, I would like to warn patients suffering from waist and leg pain again.
1-Not all waist and leg pain is caused by a herniated disc.
2-The surgery recommendation recommended to you Don't accept it right away. Try all non-surgical treatment methods. If you finally have to, have surgery.
Manual therapy is a treatment method that has been applied since ancient times.
ATTENTION!!!
- Manual treatment is not applied to patients with fractures, rheumatic diseases of the joints, joint inflammations, and advanced osteoporosis.
- It should be applied very carefully in patients of advanced ages.
- In addition, it should not be administered to patients using blood thinners (Aspirin, Coumadin, etc.) unless necessary.
- With manual treatment, improvement is achieved in an average of 7 sessions. In chronic cases, improvement may occur within 10-20 sessions.
In our clinic, we use it for non-surgical treatments of lumbar and cervical hernias. In some cases, it is applied alone. However, in some cases it can be used together with other complementary medicine methods. For example; such as leech therapy, ozone therapy and stem cell therapy.
Attention: Manual therapy is NOT MASSAGE. It is a treatment method applied by medical doctors or physiotherapists. It is especially a process of exercising the joints to their physiological limits and IS A MEDICAL INTERVENTION.
Massage; It is a process that aims to increase blood circulation in the application area as a result of mechanical stimulation of the skin, muscles, circulatory and lymph systems, to provide relief in the contracted muscle system, to reduce pain, and to increase some hormones that provide relief as a result of pressure on certain areas.
Massage; It can be applied by people who have a masseur certificate. The masseur certificate is a document that can be obtained by anyone who is a primary school graduate, over the age of 18, and who is willing and able, as a result of several months of courses organized under the control and permission of the Ministry of National Education.
For this reason; I would especially like to remind you that people with a masseur's license do not have the license, knowledge and skills to perform medical treatment and that they are not medically responsible for the procedures they perform.
