Depression Tale

Once upon a time, in a very ordinary country, there lived two friends named İstek and Eylem, in a very ordinary country. They ate and drank together, sat and stood together. It was very rare that they did things apart, and even that was enough for both of them to feel sad and yearning for reunion. One day, Desire stood in front of Eylem with a sullen face and said:

Request- Eylem! You don't want to do anything without me, and as if that's not enough, you want me to initiate everything. What would happen if you do something once and then I join in?

Action- Dear Desire, you are very important to me. It's almost impossible for me to do anything, especially to start something, without you. Please don't be angry with me for this and let's continue as before.

Request- No! I'm so tired of this. I got upset with you, I won't talk to you anymore.

Istek said and left.

This resentment made them both very sad. Action He didn't want to do anything without desire. Things that used to make him happy are now boring him. He stopped eating or drinking, he couldn't sleep, he couldn't say two words. Request was in the same situation. He always felt like he was incomplete, and it turns out that Eylem completes him.

The days, weeks, months just passed by. Eylem couldn't stand this situation anymore and ran to the wise man. He explained what happened. The wise asked:

Sage- Why didn't you accept the condition of the Request?

Action- I don't know, I don't feel like doing anything without it. I find it especially difficult to start something.

Wise- Well, now do exactly what I tell you.

Action- Okay.

Wise- Go out and do something you enjoy doing together with desire, slowly, at the top of that mountain, and start doing it slowly.

Action- But I have no pleasure or desire.

Wise- Just listen to what I say and don't interfere with the rest.

Action- Okay, I don't want it that much, but let it be so.

The protest is on the mountain. He started collecting wood for a barbecue. The desire that sees this; It's obvious Eylamin said to me "I miss you, come now, I'm sorry" He ran to the top of the mountain saying it was nothing more than "then I will initiate some things". The two friends hugged and longed for each other and they did not live happily ever after because Istek used to be coy and offended from time to time, but since Eylem knew how to win her heart, this resentment was not a big problem.

My dear friends who are depressed and don't want to do anything! Sometimes moving and doing something can bring back our desire/happiness to live again. For example, have a barbecue this weekend (even if you don't want to). You will see that desire, pleasure and happiness will come running to you.
