Family constellation therapy is a psychotherapy method introduced by German psychotherapist Bert Hellinger in the 1990s. According to Bert Hellinger, our "genealogy" is at the root of problems and psychological disorders in relationships. According to the family constellation approach, human is considered as a social being and is characterized as a member of certain social groups. The most basic institution of membership is the family.
The belief that forms the basis of family syntax therapy is that individuals are connected with the members of their families by an invisible bond, starting from generations ago. This bond with the family affects what happens to the individual in his life, his way of life, and the psychological disorders he experiences. In other words, the events experienced by the ancestors of the individual affect the present life of the individual. According to family syntax therapy, the negativities experienced by the individuals living in the family are passed on to the family members via DNA and in this way are passed on from generation to generation. Sudden and traumatic death, rape, suicide, violence, addiction, delinquency, abortion, lovelessness, unhappy marriages, harassment, and infidelity in families, which cause the family to be deeply affected, cause deterioration in the family system. These disruptions and ruptures in the family constellation profoundly affect the fate of family members and family members in future generations.
PURPOSE OF FAMILY SYNTHETIC THERAPY
According to Family Constellation, the individual has it in himself. Problems experienced in the root family from which we emerged are caused by the problems experienced in the root family from which we came out. By showing its current place in the family system, it raises awareness and helps the system to repair its destroyed and deteriorated aspects. Therapy allows you to see through your therapist how your family members feel, fears and anxieties in the face of severe events. both individual It is also applied within the framework of "group" therapy. This process takes place with "individuals" within the group participating in the therapy or "figures" used as representations. What is important in individual therapy is the people the figures represent and how you arrange them. In group therapy, on the other hand, it takes place with the individuals participating in the group.
