WHAT ARE SLEEP LABORATORY TESTS, PROCEDURES PERFORMED:

• With a sleep test (polysonography test), your respiratory and cardiac

functions, muscle-motor activity and brain electrical activities are recorded during your normal sleep, and your sleep

structure (stages of sleep), Breathing, heart rhythm abnormalities, eye movements and muscle contractions that may occur during the sleep stages will be evaluated.

• The examination will be performed during your natural sleep. You will not be given any medication or any

substance.

• The room you will sleep in is a large, comfortable bedroom with a toilet, bathroom, TV and refrigerator.

. During the test, which takes approximately 7-8 hours, your sleep and events will be recorded for 7-9 hours by a doctor or a specialist sleep technician

by watching videos and monitors.

• You do not need to have a companion with you.

• You can visit the sleep laboratory between 20.30-22.00 in the evening. After resting for a while (to get rid of traffic and road stress), the installation of the tools begins. Preparation takes approximately 45

minutes.

• The test starts around 23.00-23.30. Let yourself fall asleep naturally

for the test. Do not strain to sleep. Before sleep, you can watch TV in your bed, read a book, get up to the sink and drink water for your needs during the test.

• Come to the sleep study center after having your dinner. Do not drink cola, coffee, or tea during meals.

• When you come to our Sleep Center, tell the consultant your name and that you are here for a sleep test.

They will assist you with the admission procedures.

• The test can be completed at 07.30 in the morning. After taking a shower and having your breakfast, you can go.

• Your reports will be prepared the next day following the test.

• Before starting the test in the evening and when you wake up in the morning, please see the doctor or technician. fill out the forms
