Don't women forget?

"Of course I have it by heart.
Like everything I wrote... Like all the meetings... Like all the dates, all the places, all the phone calls...
Women don't forget."
These lines of Kürşat Başar have been stuck in my heart since yesterday.

Do women really not forget? Or why doesn't he forget what? Don't only women forget? What about men? Isn't there something that men do not forget and cannot forget?

I think there is no gender in not being able to forget... If our hearts hurt so much, if what was done or not done touched a wound in the past... If the meaning given, the love, carries the traces of the past, there is always the inability to leave it to the past, because most of the time what is experienced belongs to the past, comes from the past!

That's why you see a wounded heart that is attached to its lover with a dependent relationship, like a child is attached to its mother, and cannot imagine a life without him. This heart carries the burden of the past, it is chasing after the love that did not flow in the past, and when it does not exist, it suffers from the accumulation of all the years. It burns like this.

That's why you may encounter an angry heart that reacts more than other people to injustice, blames the past injustice on the present, screams with the anger of those accumulated years, and does not forget...

That's why I think forgetting has no gender... I think a heart that cannot put the past aside and carries the burden of the past has no gender... That's why I think neither a man nor a woman can forget if they are injured!
