NUTRITION IN CONSTIPATION

Constipation, a condition of hardness in the intestines, popularly known as constipation; It is defined as going to the toilet 2 or less times a week. Contrary to popular belief, if a person has regular bowel movements and cannot go to the toilet one day, it is not considered constipation.

Be that as it may, it is a problem that can be largely corrected with nutrition. To prevent constipation;

Daily water consumption should be increased

Consumption of fiber foods should be increased

Regular exercise should be done three times a week

Bran, rye, Whole wheat breads should be preferred

Consumption of coffee and tea, which have a diuretic effect, should be reduced.

Consumption of peaches, bananas and apples should be reduced as they will cause constipation

Dried apricots, dried figs. and prune consumption should be increased in snacks during the day. When consuming these foods,

you can soak them in water overnight and consume them before breakfast.

Consumption of dry food and fast food should be reduced, if any, and care should be taken to include soups and juicy foods in our meals
