In microscopic evaluation, the type and number of cells, if any, are evaluated. In biochemical examination, the presence and amount of sugar, protein, electrolyte values and other biochemical markers in the fluid are investigated.
After the procedure, you can lie down and rest for 2-3 hours before going home. If possible, you should not stay up too long and rest at home. However, the patient can go to the toilet, take a bath, eat easily, and go to work the next day. Patients who do not comply with the recommendations may rarely experience a headache that starts when they stand up. The treatment for this condition is absolute bed rest. Lying down continuously for 24 or 48 hours will relieve the pain. Any pain reliever can be used. It is recommended to consume plenty of water and caffeinated coffee as this will accelerate the pain relief.
