Small Goals & Big Victories

One of the sentences I hear most frequently lately: "I can't spare time for myself, I'm too busy."

There are many variables underlying this sentence, such as avoiding the problem, difficulty waking up in the morning, lack of motivation, and feeling of inadequacy.

I wonder what your excuse is? Why can't you quit smoking or why can't you start exercising if you want to lose weight? If you are too busy to do anything for your own mental and physical health, you need to change these habits.

The point I really want to touch upon is rituals. For example, the ritual of sipping your coffee in your favorite cup 10 minutes before starting work. Even this is taking time for yourself. This habit, which you don't realize while drinking your coffee and planning the rest of the day, motivates you.

For example, the ritual of drinking water when you wake up in the morning. A ritual that shows your body that you love it and that you're thinking of it as soon as you wake up. What could be better than a day that starts with self-love?

I think we're exaggerating this whole thing of taking time for ourselves. We don't need to match it with huge expectations and activities, and we don't need to waste time by spending huge amounts of money. We complain about working life and mental fatigue, saying "I want to do something for myself, but I don't have time."

Actually, the summary of the situation is this: "I make time for myself every day because it gives me the ability to concentrate on everything else."

If we can make this idea our lifestyle, we can make time for ourselves in the most effortless but effective way. The long-term benefit for us is;

Small goals, daily plans and habits, body and soul to be good for ourselves. It is a way to improve our health. Let's start a new day by leaving the past behind and let's set small programs and small goals. While you enjoy achieving big goals, remember that you are passing through these small goals!
