The essence of breathing exercises in birth preparation training is to teach the expectant mother to focus on birth. The pregnant woman should be able to internalize and relax during the contractions. The main problem in focusing and being able to let go and relax during birth is trust. It is about whom and how much to trust.
From birth until the baby is two years old, the right brain develops, and after the age of two, the left brain begins to develop. During this period, the baby cannot speak, there is no verbal communication yet. He communicates only with eyes and gaze. This is the process of forming the basic sense of trust in those first two years. A baby who has a secure attachment with the mother can establish more positive and healthier relationships with people.
Birth is the ability to focus, birth is the work of the primitive primitive brain, birth is a process of relationship established only with eyes, not words. However, when labor begins, there are many people around the mother who come to support her. What needs to happen at birth is that only the right brain, that is, the primitive brain, comes into play and the eyes speak there. Because the right brain had not learned to speak at that time. However, birth is a process of focusing, existing and integrating. We do not want the left brain and logic to work during the birth process, it is a process in which thoughts disappear and only the right brain, which allows emotions, needs to work. The right brain is very sensitive. It carries the traces of the first two years of life and the sealing of the subconscious. Revealing those negative emotions sealed in the subconscious in the birth room can stop the birth. It can inhibit birth.
In prenatal therapy with the mother, these are expressed, shared and questioned. We see this in the studies: Mothers may sometimes not want people they see as very close to them at birth. For example, his mother, his sister, even his very close friend... What do we do? The whole family is going to the birth. There are also friends and family who come to the birth. Curious neighbors and relatives would poke their heads into the pregnant woman's room and say, "I'm here too, see me too." However, when they arrive, positive conversations are replaced by their own birth stories. Every negative emotion, thought, behavior and conversation in that room slows down the mother's birth a little more. His despair increases. I wonder if their voices rise within r. Should I not wait in vain and have a cesarean section immediately, because the birth stories told have broken her hope? She has exhausted her energy.
