Even though self-care may mean different things for everyone, it is possible to give some examples that we can apply to better ourselves. Some of these are having routines that relax us, spending more time with the people we love in our social circle, listening to our bodily needs, and spending more time on our hobbies. It is also important that this rest is not occupied by the screens in order to have a real resting experience. If we follow new news on Twitter and try to watch a newly released series on Netflix, we cannot expect our brains to rest properly. For this reason, it is important to strike a balance between activities that give us pleasure and activities that calm our brain. In addition, if we already have a heavy workload, it is also important to learn to say no to our friends or people who make demands from us from time to time. Technology has become our nature� In this period, activities such as spending time with our body in nature, exercising, experiencing meditation, and spending more time in the sunlight can benefit us. These activities, which have been proven to be good for us biologically, will help our body get away from stress.
Before burnout gives way to stronger depressive symptoms, it may be good for us to change some of our habits, to spend more time on self-care, and to seek support from a specialist if we need it. Psychotherapy will help people if the feeling of burnout is replaced by the burnout syndrome. However, it should not be forgotten that sometimes the feelings of burnout are caused by environmental and sometimes even social reasons such as the job we work in, the conditions we live in.
