Leg Lift Aesthetics

LEG LIFT

The skin of the inner thigh is similar to the skin on the inside of the upper arm. It is thinner and less elastic than the skin in many parts of the body. For this reason, excess skin and sagging may begin to appear earlier in this area. It is almost impossible to solve this problem with diet and exercise alone. Although many body contouring methods can provide significant improvement in other parts of the body, their effects are less effective on the inner thigh area. This problem is solved by obtaining better results with an inner thigh lift intervention.

In the inner thigh lift procedure, the incision scar can be hidden in the fold between the perineum, while in the thighplasty surgery, this scar is in the middle of the inner thigh. It can extend up to above the knee. Due to this long incision, thighplasty is generally applied to patients who have experienced excessive fat loss. Inner thigh lift surgery is a suitable intervention in many cases where aesthetic improvement is expected or after weight loss.

Surgery

Inner thigh lift surgery is performed through the crotch on the thigh. An incision is made extending to the labia area. In other words, the incisions extend 5-7 centimeters around the genital area. By making the incision in this area, the scars are completely hidden.

After the incisions are made, an ellipse-shaped piece of skin and the fat underneath is removed from the thigh. The skin in the lower area is lifted up and the incision is closed with stitches. It is possible to remove much more skin and excess fat by making longer incisions. The disadvantage of this procedure will be longer scars. Although these scars fade over time, they will never completely disappear.

In patients with a lot of excess fat, two interventions can be performed at once. First, the excess on the inner thigh is removed by liposuction. Excess skin is eliminated with inner thigh lift surgery simultaneously or after about six months.

What to Expect from the Surgery

Thigh lift surgery takes about 2-3 hours. Swelling and bruising will occur in the areas where the procedure takes place. Post-operative pain is reduced with the help of painkillers. After the surgery, the patient will not feel very comfortable while walking. This situation lasts for several weeks It disappears in the process. Due to the nature of the areas where the incisions are made, wounds may take longer to heal than expected. Most patients can return to work 2 weeks after the intervention and resume more intense physical activities after 4-6 weeks. Interventions can be performed alone or in combination with many other body shaping surgeries.

After the thigh lift surgery, it is sufficient for the patient to stay in the hospital for one night. If other interventions have been performed, this period may be extended.

Possible Problems After the Surgery

Temporary pain and discomfort, especially while walking, may occur. Temporary swelling, bruising and loss of sensation may also occur. Scars, delayed wound healing, bleeding at incision sites, and blood clot formation are among the possibilities. Although the shape of the labia may be distorted in women, this condition is usually temporary. Rarely, scars expand. After Thighplasty, the scars remain visible when you wear shorts.
