Orthopedic Manual Therapy

Manual therapy is a branch of science that takes its place in modern medicine today and dates back to Hippocrates.

Manual therapy techniques are applied by physiotherapists as a complementary treatment method. When combined with physical therapy methods and techniques, it prevents unnecessary surgeries and increases the quality of life.

The basic principle is that when our body works like a machine, it is a strategy to overcome both the gravity caused by its own weight and sometimes to perform daily life movements with the effect of the muscles that produce power. While this degeneration does not initially cause structural changes in our body integrity, long-term repetitions of the same mechanisms sometimes cause structural disorders that cannot be changed (calcifications, hernias, muscle-ligament tears and (such as deformities).

At this point, manual therapists are health professionals who both reveal the impaired functioning and, if possible, plan treatment methods that will correct the disorder again, to protect and improve the health of people and enable them to move painlessly as before.

When applying treatment methods, the manual therapist uses both the power mechanisms created by the body and his hands. In other words, it does not use any external medication, device or electrical method. Because the problem is already related to the pain that occurs as a result of the pathological movements of our body. Based on this reference, when we correct the disorder, our body will already use its natural painless movement mechanisms. At the same time, although the problem is revealed with manual therapy methods, it will also play an educational role for the patient in preventing the pain from recurring by regulating the person's lifestyle.

What is the advantage of manual therapy compared to other treatments?

•     Other treatments. It provides recovery in a shorter time than normal,

•     Most of the pain can be relieved even in a single session,

•     The success rate is quite high,

•     Direct applications are made to the problematic area. It provides a fast and effective solution for,

Fully evidence-based medical and clinical information is used in the applications,

•     It does not require the use of any medication, it is completely natural,

•     It has no side effects.

For which diseases is it effective?

• Waist disorders; herniated disc, facet joint blockages, canal narrowing, lumbar slippage,

• Neck disorders; cervical disc herniation, neck flattening, facet joint problems, neck-related headache,

• Shoulder problems; Muscle tear, Frozen shoulder, Impingement syndrome,

• Elbow problems; Extensor tendinitis (tennis elbow), flexor tendinitis (golfer's elbow), ulnar nerve entrapment neuropathy,

• Wrist problems; Carpal tunnel syndrome, Dequervaintenosynovitis, Dupuytren's contracture,

• Hip problems; Hip dislocation, Priformis syndrome, Coxarthrosis, Post-hip prosthesis,

• Knee disorders; Meniscus tears, anterior-lateral-posterior cruciate ligament tears, rehabilitation after knee prosthesis, condormalazipatella, genuvarum-valgum-recurvatum problems,

• Ankle disorders; heel spur, halluxvalgus, tarsal tunnel syndrome, Morton syndrome-neuroma,

• Post-fracture rehabilitation: Special limitation release techniques.
