SILS (Single Hole) Cholecystectomy Gallbladder
Today, special attention is paid to minimally invasive and best cosmetic results in surgical interventions. Laparoscopic Surgery was also born from this need. In this way, it was possible to have less pain, quicker recovery and return to work in a shorter time.
Since there are no large incisions in laparoscopic surgery, cosmetic results are also better. In this method, the search for making (Sils) from a single hole, instead of several holes, has begun. The area where Silsin is most commonly used is gallbladder removal surgeries.
A good evaluation is made with ultrasonography before the surgery; applied to appropriate cases. A specially made trocar for this method is inserted through a small incision in the belly. This trocar has 3 holes into which the camera and 2 hand tools can be inserted. The gallbladder is removed through the hole in the umbilical cord using specially made angled or bendable instruments. When the patient recovers, a barely noticeable surgery scar remains in the navel.
