The concept of prenatal preparation training was first introduced in the 1930s by British gynecologist and obstetrician Dr. Introduced to the world by Grantly Dick Read �shush. Dr. Grantly Dick Read defined natural birth in his book "Fearless Birth: Principles and Practice of Natural Birth". Dick Read stated that receiving prenatal preparation training for mothers who want to have a natural birth is one of the most important factors that increase their chances of having a natural birth experience. According to him, not knowing enough about birth processes leads to fear about birth. Fear causes the woman to go into labor nervous. Women who are tense also tend to feel painful stimuli more intensely than usual. The main starting point of prenatal preparation training is the fact that fear will decrease with knowledge, in the structure that Dick Read calls the "fear-tension-pain triangle".
C) What is the content of prenatal preparation training?
The contents of these trainings vary depending on the trainer giving them. Baby care and breastfeeding training can be given in separate courses. In general, the course content is as follows:
1) Explaining that birth is not a disease, fully explaining how birth is a natural and physiological process, and thus reducing the fear of birth,
2) Reminding that women have the inner strength required for birth,
3) Teaching partners how to support them during the birth process,
