Quality time is when the parent is with the child mentally and physically, makes him/her feel it and spends time with him/her, it is special time reserved for the child where no one interrupts and everything is left aside. It is not the quantity of time spent with the child, but its quality, continuity and togetherness that is important. In the child-parent relationship, time should be spent in the form of sharing, interaction, and mutual exchange of emotions. The aim should be to understand the child, to listen carefully, to understand his needs, joys, happiness, anger, sadness and concerns. Children need to share their world and feelings with their parents, they expect their participation, and if the time spent with the child is spent sharing, then it is of high quality.

The foundations of the communication between the parent and the child are laid during the time the family spends with the child. Spending time together is important because as long as time is spent together, the child feels important and loved. The child has the opportunity to watch his parents and model the positive behaviors he sees from his parents. In addition, the parent gets the chance to better observe the strengths and weaknesses of the child's character and to better guide his child. Dealing with something else during the game, or abruptly stopping the game and moving away from the environment can damage the child's sense of confidence. In order to increase the parent-child relationship and the child's self-confidence, it is necessary to make the child realize what he has achieved and give positive feedback during games and togetherness.

3 YEARS OLD PERIOD;

For children aged 3 and above, games can be limited to certain limits. These limits are determined in an understandable manner appropriate to the age of the child. For example; The child may be limited to one game. Games can be in the form of "imaginary games" that support the child's mental development. Playing with dough, sand, legos and painting with paints develops the child's imagination.

 

4-5 YEARS OF AGE PERIOD; From 4-5 years of age, the child's identification figure His relationship and sharing with his same-sex parent becomes very important. The daughter enjoys cooking in the kitchen with her mother, the son enjoys repairing things with his father, etc. He enjoys it very much. Also in this period, artistic activities with the development of children's motor skills and imagination; Games such as painting, cutting and pasting, coloring together, and interpreting illustrated stories together can be played. The school child is now aware of himself and his wishes. During this period, it is right to share the activity plan with him, get his expectations from him, and even encourage him to plan appropriate times and activities and give him responsibility. Sometimes these demands can leave families in a bind. Because it is necessary to encourage children to engage in different activities as much as possible. The important thing when watching television or playing the computer is to spend a quiet period of time where everyone is looking at the screen. It is to save you from dying. During these times, you should not forget to exchange ideas with him, that is, to communicate together and to make as much eye contact as possible. In this age group, alternatives such as box games should be preferred by families.

Apart from these, other activities to be done with the child are: housekeeping or playing with toys. Garden games or games with balls or balloons can be played. Puppet and dramatization games can reflect the inner world of children, so they should be played. Painting and the colors used are also means of expression.
