I look but do I see?

I want to talk about the fine line between looking and seeing. What if I asked you about the tree right in front of the window of your room? I can almost hear the question "Which tree?" from some people. The tree right there, yes, that “tree” with a view from your room. That was the whole point. We were looking but couldn't see. Because we were looking just for the sake of looking, we were on automatic pilot and we were aware of the color of its leaves, because we did not notice it..

Maybe we were looking closely, that's why it was difficult. In fact, whatever you were looking at was also telling you how you saw it and where you looked from. Now take a piece of paper in your hand, and slowly bring that paper closer to your face, and then bring it so close that it covers your eyes and face. What happened now? Now you have closed yourself off from everything right here. Think about the “values” that make life meaningful for you right now. Look at your emotions, thoughts, and behaviors from where you are. And now, slowly remove the paper you used to cover your face with, and look again. Look at the unanswered questions in your life and the situations you cannot make sense of and notice them. See them and follow them. Continue to look and see with understanding. Realize being aware of your values, become free.
