Is My Peer a Bully?

What does bullying mean? It is the exposure of a child or young person to physically, verbally and behaviorally harmful behavior from people in the same group or peers. Or, exposing the person in this way.

It is a sad behavior for both the person who lives and the person who makes him live. From time to time I wonder if there is anyone who has not been exposed? People who have experienced this bullying can empathize more easily, as Nasreddin Hodja said when he fell from the roof: "Only those who fall from the roof will understand me." This image, which we often encounter especially in school, needs more effective and profound solutions.

We are losing our decent stance. We forget to take into account that the other person is also a human being. We raise children who think that everything can be overcome with threats, humiliation and brute force.

One day, a client of mine noticed that her daughter exhibited very ugly behavior towards strangers on the street, insulted them and this racial attitude He expressed how much he disliked the behavior. When I wondered how a child of that age formed this perception, I realized in the later stages of the interview that the parents themselves had used these statements while watching the news.

In another example, it was seen that the fifth grade student had literally intimidated his classmates with his bullying, and now these children I saw that they did not even feel the need to tell their teachers. When I met with the mother of the bullying student, I realized that it was not surprising when she said that she had older brothers who had a rough-and-tumble attitude and how respectfully she treated them.

The reasons are obvious, the results are obvious. The one who does exposes, the one who does is exposed. Here are the people who exposed; We must thoroughly study what purpose they pursue with these behaviors, what kind of deficiency or excess they may have, and include family dynamics in the process. What about the person exposed? People who can carry these scars throughout their lives?
