The final point in birth preparation: Birth preparation in 10 steps
Every family has a learning process regarding birth preparation. 9 months and 10 days is not just a period of time when the baby grows up to be able to live outside. It is also a time of transformation from a woman to a mother and a man to a father. The better you can evaluate this process, the more beautiful, healthy, enthusiastic and wish-free birth you will gift to your baby and yourself.
We have summarized below the ten most important gains we want you to achieve after birth preparation courses;
1-Have enough knowledge to actively participate in decisions. Make sure that your approval is obtained for every decision.
2-Learn relaxation and surrender. Birth does not progress in a tense environment.
3- Practice your breathing. Breath is everything in birth.
4-Question the system. If you do not question, your cesarean section rate will automatically be between 57-90%.
5-Trust the doctor, but do not forget to give confidence. Do this at the first examination. Don't say "we'll talk later." 6- Allocate time and budget to choose your support as well as your doctor. (Midwife / doula, birth psychologist) If you choose all of them, it means you have established the Birth Team for sure. 7- Explain your preferences to your team, not to the hospital. Make sure they understand.
8-Don't wait for the panic moments in the last weeks to prepare for your birth, start your birth preparation course at the 20th week.
9-Immediately after birth, ask your baby to hold you and keep him/her there (Skin-to-Skin Contact)
/> 10-Learn and prepare for Mother-Baby-Friendly Caesarean section.
If you have done all this, it is time to trust your body and your baby. When labor begins, just turn inward and accept what comes with respect. Never stop communicating with your baby.
Birth is normal, natural and healthy. On the way to a healthy birth, your body and your baby will tell you what to do and what their needs are.
Go with the flow and trust your intuition.
