A healthy heart contracts about 70-80 times a minute and about 100,000 times a day. In this way, it pumps nearly 300 liters of blood every hour to the whole body. A normal heart has four chambers. The upper two chambers are called the right and left atria, and the lower two chambers are called the right and left ventricles. The heart's job is to send oxygen-rich blood throughout the body.
Blood passes through the four heart valves until it passes through the heart cavities and is discharged into the body. Names of heart valves; Tricuspid, Pulmonary, Mitral and Aortic valves.
The blood, which is cleaned in the lungs and becomes rich in oxygen, passes through these four chambers and is sent from the aortic valve to the main artery “Aorta” and sent to the whole body from there.
