Coping with Anxiety, Awareness Formula

The key to unlocking anxiety is to fully accept it. Being able to stay in the present and
accepting your anxiety will cause it to disappear. To successfully deal with anxiety
you can use a five-step strategy, the AWARW (Awareness) strategy. Thanks to this
strategy, you will be able to accept your anxiety until it disappears.

1. Accept the anxiety!Webster defines acceptance as 'consenting to receive'.
Convince yourself to receive the anxiety. Welcome him. When it appears, say 'Hello' out loud to yourself: 'You have a place above my head'. Do not avoid being together with this
experience. Stop fighting with him. Choose acceptance over rejection, anger and hatred.
By resisting, you are actually prolonging the unpleasant side of it. Instead, just go with the
flow with it. Stop blaming him
for how you think, feel, and act.

2. Watch your anxiety!Pay attention to your anxiety without any bias, good or bad.
Don't treat it as an uninvited guest. Instead, grade it from 1 to 10 and watch
momentum. Observe yourself, watch for the peaks and valleys of your anxiety. Be impartial
. Your anxiety does not mean you. The more
you can detach yourself from the anxiety experience, the more you can watch this experience.
Look at your thoughts, feelings and actions as if they were your friends, but
do not get overly interested, watch as if you were an audience. Distinguish the essential 'you' from the anxiety. In short
be in the anxiety, but do not be guided by it.

3. Move with anxiety! Normalize the situation. Act as if you were not anxious
. Try to function with it. If you have to slow down, slow down,
but never stop, keep going. Breathe in and out slowly and normally. If you escape from the situation, your anxiety will decrease, but this time your fear will increase. If you don't run away and stay, both your anxiety and fear will decrease.

4. Repeat steps! Back to a reasonable level Continue to (1) acknowledge your anxiety, (2) monitor it, and (3) move with it until you stop. As you continue to accept, watch and act with it, your anxiety will decrease. Just keep repeating these three
steps: Accept, watch, move with it.

5. Expect the best! What you fear very rarely happens to you. However, don't be surprised the next time you
encounter anxiety. Instead
surprise yourself with how you handle it. As long as you live, you will have some anxiety. Let go of the belief that you have beaten anxiety forever
. By anticipating future anxiety, you put yourself on a firm footing to be better prepared to meet it
when it arrives.
